The old road along the Riviera from the center towards the bridge was renewed this year. The existing road in Tisno could not be used on windy days by the locals because it was completely swamped by the strong waves of the wind “Yugo”. Neither the car nor walk this road was possible. In addition, this section of road was just in the season months too dangerous for pedestrians, as there was no distinction to the road and also the roadview was bad because of the existing corner area.

These reasons have led to rebuilt this road section in June 2013. Now there are two full lanes for cars and a pedestrian walkway bounded by a low wall, which is also beautifully illuminated at night. Not only the tourists but also the locals are happy because by stormy weather no more onerous detour has to be taken into account through the narrow shopping street which is located parallel to the main street. It is also a pleasant side effect that the look of Tisno was embellished.
